Promotion Rules

    1. A student will be declared pass or promoted to the higher class only if he/she secures minimum grade 'D' in each promotional subject.

    2. Students exempted on medical grounds for Annual examination must appear for the Improvement exams. Medical certificate has to be submitted to the school positively prior to the commencement of the examination.

    3. A student will be declared pass or promoted to the next class only if he/she secures minimum grade 'D' in each promotional subject in classes IX and X. In case the student fails to achieve grade 'D', he/she is required to appear for the Improvement exams.

    4. A student will be eligible for appearing in the Annual examination only if he/she has 75% of the total attendance.

    5. Admission of a student getting grade below D and failing continuously for two years in the same class will stand cancelled.

    6. Admission to classes X, XI, XII and in case of failures repeating classes IX and XII will not be automatic. Students will have to seek fresh admission every year.

  • SCHEME OF EXAMINATIONS AND PASS CRITERIA FOR CLASS XI / XII

    1. The Scheme of Examinations and Pass Criteria for All India Senior School Certificate will be as per CBSE guide lines.

    2. Class XI examinations shall be conducted internally by the schools.

    3. The Board will conduct the external examinations at the end of Class XII

    4. A student will be eligible for appearing in the Annual examination only if he/she has 75% of the total attendance.

    5. Class XII examinations will be based on the syllabi as prescribed by the Board for Class XII.

    6. Number of papers, duration of examination and marks for each subject/paper will be as specified in the CBSE curriculum for the year.

    7. The Examination will be conducted in theory as well as in practicals, depending upon the nature of the subject(s) and the marks/grades allotted shall be as prescribed in the curriculum.

    8. Marks/grades shall be awarded for individual subjects and the aggregate marks shall not be given.

    9. In order to be declared as having passed the examination, a candidate shall obtain minimum 33% marks in all the five subjects of external examination in the main or at the compartmental examinations. The pass marks in each subject of external examination shall be 33%. In case of a subject involving practical work a candidate must obtain 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in practical separately in addition to 33% marks in aggregate in order to qualify in that subject.

    10. Overall division/distinction/aggregate shall not be awarded.

    11. Compartment is given in only one subject as per CBSE laws.
